Start A Chapter
what is a chapter?
A Pawsitivity Chapter is an extension of our organization in your local community, whether that’s
confined to your school or ends up expanding to your entire town, city, or state. Chapters are led
either by an individual or a small group of students who want to bring our efforts to their own
community and affect change locally. A Chapter is not a singular case of a dog in need at a
rescue, however once you’ve registered your Chapter, the dogs at your local rescue will be
welcomed and encouraged to be featured in our Pup Campaigns.
How can I start a chapter?
Step 1: Assemble your leadership team.
Step 2: Connect with a school representative or member of the administration.
Step 3: Identify which local rescue organization you wish to partner with.
Step 4: Fill out and submit the application below.
what are the prerequisites?
● Be at least 16 years old
● Submit the Chapter Leader Application
● Be a dog lover!!!
Once your application is approved, we will send you a Chapter Leader Starter Kit and accompanying information to help you get started. We will recruit your animal rescue organization as a Pawsitivity partner and facilitate the logistics of your volunteering and fundraising efforts. After you and your team have properly reviewed the necessary resources and prepared to run your Chapter, your Pawsitivity Chapter will be officially installed and ready to save pups!
Feel free to reach out to us through email or social media at any time before or during your process for help with any step in establishing your Chapter. Additionally, you are welcome to recruit a member of our team to act as an advisor throughout your Chapter’s journey. Although we will represent and promote your Chapter to the fullest once it has been solidified, it might be beneficial to request an experienced Pawsitivity team member to communicate with in order to gain as much insight into this process as possible.
